Invisalign Clear Braces
Invisalign trays offer a clear alternative to traditional braces. The trays are custom made for each individual from a clear thermoplastic material. Over the cause of treatment, you will be supplied with various trays, which when placed on the teeth, cause them to gradually shift from their current position, using the appropriate placement of controlled force. You’ll usually receive a new tray a week, which will only allow certain teeth to move. Invisalign aligners are nearly invisible, removable and require no metal brackets or wire.
Ceramic Braces
Ceramic braces fit on the front of teeth and are tooth-coloured, they offer a less noticeable alternative to metal braces. They don’t stain or discolour and are much more natural looking than traditional braces. We offer four different ceramic brace varieties and after your initial consultation, your Orthodontist will determine the most suitable brace choice for you.
Lingual (hidden) Braces
A lingual (hidden) brace is similar to a traditional brace, however, it’s fitted to the inner service of the tooth, meaning your smile can be improved without worrying about your appearance. They are virtually invisible, custom made individually with a gold-alloy and offer high precision results for most types of malocclusion (misalignment of the teeth in two dental arches).

After the completion of your treatment, during the retainer phase, we offer complimentary tooth whitening treatment so your smile is picture perfect for your wedding day.
Retainers
When you have finished your treatment, your teeth will naturally try and return to their original position. Wearing retainers will stop this happening and keep your teeth in perfect position. We offer the following retainer varieties, including the Vivera bonded retainer, created by Invisalign, Bonded retainers, we recommend this to all our clients, Essix retainers (removable, clear transparent retainers).

“As a child I missed out on having my braces treatment so my crooked teeth were always a big concern for me. I would never give a genuine smile in photos or when I spoke with friends for fear of them being on show so would always ensure my mouth remained closed. I also had a bit of a
traumatic experience with a dentist which made me very wary of even having my teeth looked at and I missed out on learning how to properly take care of them.
When I got engaged I was so happy to be marrying the man of my dreams but the idea of having my photo taken highly concerned me – these photos were going to be some of the most special ones of my life and at that time I was not confident enough to think that I could look good in any of them.
I had already been working on my health and decided to use our wedding as a target and as part of this I decided to look into the options for my teeth, even though historically I had been told that nothing could be done as I was an adult and my teeth were ‘set’. I did as most do and researched local orthodontists and set up a couple of consultations, Smile 101 being one of them as I had already been recommended them via two of my close friends.
I remember being extremely anxious ahead of the appointments and even had to bring my mum with me! The difference between the two consultations was obvious from the start, Smile 101 were extremely friendly and I felt comfortable to ask anything I felt I needed to but mainly they did not rush me – they wanted to offer me a plan that was right for me and even arranged for me to have a second opinion to make sure our plan was the best way forward. Just being told that I could correct my smile was such a relief, the thought of being able to properly smile – especially on my wedding day – made me so happy.
